Major: Neuroscience
Hometown: Franklinton, LA
As you have more than likely intentionally clicked on a series of links to read about my experiences at Rhodes, I am assuming that you are interested (at least a little bit) in knowing something about me. So, before you begin to read about my adventures amongst the gothic building of Rhodes College, I will give you the low- down on what you can expect to find in my blog…
Science stuff: I am a Neuroscience major with an interest in medical school, so my academic life…is the brain, science, the MCAT (ah!), etc.
Random Spanish words: I am also a Spanishminor. Having been in Spanish classes for the past nine-ish years of my life, I am known for my use of Spanglish - yes, you are allowed to consult your favorite free online translating service, but I will do my best to translate for you.
Seeming unwarranted enthusiasm: The truth is, I’m generally low-key and go with the flow, but when I am passionate about something…I don’t stop talking about it! In this category would be St. Jude, peer education, Residence Life, New Orleans, Rhodes (clearly), my eight siblings and any other adventure that I embark on.
The list: Lastly, I have this list. It’s constantly changing and is a series of life goals so-to-speak given arbitrary five-digit numbers which you will hear about along the way. Some examples of goals that have been met since I’ve been here: pulling a fire alarm (for a drill), being on GMA(mission accomplished with my supervisor’s mom) and getting on the local news (ok, it was on in West Memphis, AR and I never saw it, but it counts!)
Anyway, if you have any questions, comments, etc. about my Rhodes life, send them my way!
Oh, and p.s., item # 32.132 from my list (being featured on the Rhodes website) has just been crossed off!
