Learn. Engage. Challenge. Grow.

The Residence Life Office is dedicated to providing students who live on campus with the opportunities to learn beyond the classroom, to be engaged in an exciting environment, to challenge and hold themselves to continually higher standards and, in turn, to grow as citizens in the Rhodes community.

We have two full-time staff members (Director Marianne Luther and Associate Director Regina Simmons), two graduate assistants (Assistant Directors Shemika Harris and Brent Owens), four head resident assistants ( Rhodes students Shadana Bracy, Allie Garris, Brian Jones and Noah Pittman) and thirty-two RA’s.

The Resident Assistants (RA’s) are students who live and work in the residence halls. They are the support system for the residents. This blog will contain pertinent information about what’s on the horizon for residents. We’ll also give you a little insight into who we are. Please feel free to leave comments or ask questions.

Where do Rhodes students go with their presidential election absentee ballots to get them notarized (hopefully for free) on campus?

The RAs (resident assistants) can assist students in either obtaining absentee ballots or in changing their voter registration to Shelby County, Tenneessee. Once the student has lived at Rhodes for thirty days, he or she is eligible to register to vote here.

This may be the wrong place to post this….

My brother and I will have a two bedroom condo for rent soon at The Parkway House (the high-rise with the fountain out front)….

I will be passing more info when I can come by the campus in a few days.
