Who is this loud, smiley, super-energetic girl that goes by a crazy name of Philly?
Oh, well, that’s just me. When I was asked to be a new blogger I immediately accepted. I absolutely love talking and getting to know people. Maybe that’s why I want to be the next BIG anchor woman… perhaps the new Katie Couric!
Anyway, yep my name is Philly and I’m from Memphis, TN. I chose to attend Rhodes College because as a senior in high school I did not know what I wanted to do so I thought a liberal arts college would be the best choice to get a “feel” of everything. Also, the people are so welcoming! I remember just like yesterday, well maybe not yesterday, when I stepped on this campus for a visit and everyone smiled at me. I thought they assumed I went to school there and I felt I would really like being here. Also, c’mon, this school is REALLY PRETTY.
When people think of me I would have to say these words would come out of their mouths..
weird. opinionated. passionate. determined. crazy. persistent. competitive. extroverted. eccentric. These are the positive things. I don’t even want to know the negative ones. I don’t eat beef, so if some one says they saw me eat a hamburger, they are lying – it was probably a veggie burger. I absolutely love to travel. I plan to visit every continent in my life. After college I want to take a year off and be a flight attendant so I can travel for super cheap!! I love going to music shows and dancing the night away. I never have bad days because things that happen in the day don’t make it bad, if you let things affect you, then your day can bad bad. I try to just let everything roll with the punches. I definitely believe that everything happens for a reason and karma is alive and well. As the Jamaicans say, there are no problems, only situations.
