Welcome to the Admissions Office blog! We’ll be posting at least twice a week, on Tuesday and Friday mornings. You’ll hear from all the people in our office and even some guest bloggers. If you have specific questions pertaining to your file, Rhodes, or the application process, please do send us an email individually (I’ve listed them all below) or give us a call at 1-800-844-5969 and we will be happy to help! This blog site is meant to be more of a relaxed way for you to gain a second opinion on what Rhodes is all about, separate from our main web site and publications.

Please send me a Rhodes College catalog. My daughter is a junior at Notre Dame Preparatory School in Towson Md. She has a 3.9 GPA and will take her SAT’s in May. My good friends -Cris and Andrew Michta told me about Rhodes. Andrew is speaking there this week. They had great things to say about your college. I could not read the information on your website. It was not clear enough to read. Therefore, a catalog would be great. Thanks! Barbara Conover
Hooray admissions! I love Rhodes and my experience has been greatly enhanced by the wonderful people in the admissions office!
Hey there Kelsey, are you a current Rhodes student or an incoming first year student in the class of 2012? If you were just admitted, then welcome to the Rhodes community! We are quickly wrapping up deposits with the year’s incoming class, so there are a lot of excited high school seniors about to graduate. Look forward to seeing you on campus!
Please advise on how to register for the June College Discovery Program.

nearby hotels - I stayed downtown and that was great, no problem. Coming in for the orientation in July and wondering if anything is closer to school.
Thanks
The closest hotels we recommend are downtown or by the Univesrity of Memphis. The link below will take you to details about the hotels.

Are you able to recommend any of the hotels you’ve linked to? - Thanks
Lauren Sefton here, replying on behalf of Robert. I’m a particular fan of the downtown hotels, because you get an authentic feel for the city of Memphis. The Peabody is a historic hotel, the Madison is a lovely boutique hotel and the Westin is brand new. The Hampton Inn on Beale is a terrific location or, if you prefer Marriott brands, the Residence Inn has a great continental breakfast. Enjoy your stay!
