Buenas noches, mis queridos amigos.
Honestly, I didn’t realize that I was typing in Spanish and the majority of my audience would have no clue what I was talking about till I got past the pleasantries. Yay for full immersion! Anyhoo, I didn’t get to make it to London because I was terribly stupid and miscommunicated with the airline. My bad, self.
To distract myself from my utter failure, I threw myself into the Halloween festivities as I imagined I would have in London. There were several parties celebrating the (primarily) American holiday over the course of the week, and by last night, the actual All Hallow’s Eve, I was exhausted. Still, I went out and took many a photograph of costumed Spaniards, realizing that even though Europeans give off an air of cooler-than-thou, they really know how to work a costume. Here are some of my favorites:

This man was toting around a huge poster as “Youtube.” It was great!

The last one’s not a Spaniard, but the ever fabulous Dwight, staying true to his role within the Village People. Couldn’t forget him.
I hope this post-Halloween post finds you all well. Now I’m off to read some Miguel de Unamuno. I read some of his stuff in English for an Existentialism class last year. He’s amazing-er in his native Spanish. Go get a copy of Niebla.
