Hey y’all! Quick update on my life: been Mock Trial-ing for the past weekend. We went to Des Moines, IA for the National Championship and came back with a trophy. Correction, two trophies. Granted, they were for 14th and 15th place, but for a school of less than two thousand, I’d say that getting two teams in the top 15 is quite remarkable.
Details? We went up against Yale, Stanford, Michigan, and Cornell. Split, lost, split, and won those respective rounds. I wish I could be more descriptive, but after getting back, I’ve been using the vast majority of my brain CPU to finish the homework/paper writing/studying that missing two days of class creates.
Dinner after the tournament might have been the best part of the trip. People (namely our wonderful seniors) decided to wax poetic during toasts, and tears were generously shed.
