Spring Break.
I recently read this story by Isabel Allende for my Spanish literature class called Two Words. In the story, there is a young woman who literally sells words for a living. One of the most expensive things she sells are words secret to each individual that she whispers in their ears to improve their dreams in their lives. Well, this general who wants to be president gets two words from her… and literally repeats them over and over and over again to himself until he just can’t stand it any more. The absolutely most annoying thing is that she NEVER tells you the two words.
So then I started thinking. Being it was the height of midterms and all out craziness, those two words for me have been Spring Break. I repeated those two words to myself over and over and over until school was not doable. Literally. It was so hard to get through that last obstacle before Spring Break. Need tips on getting through midterms: see Tyler’s post. I’m still working on it
.
But Alas! The break is here! And I am sitting at my house getting ready to leave on a seven day cruise. I have never gone on a spring break trip… mainly because I just love being home. But now I’m heading out… And I just started singing… “All my bags are packed, I’m ready to go…” Be glad you’re not here to hear me, I don’t have a very good voice…
Anyway, I should get some sleep.
Bon Voyage, Sarah
P.S. Life Goal #25,450 is about to be accomplished…. I’ll tell you all about it when I get back!
I can’t wait to hear about your trip! I hope to see you tomorrow!
