I am typing this first post as a reprieve from my organic chem studying… I haven’t eaten since 8:30 this morning, but in 30 minutes I must be at a study session so I will probably just have a piece of my “on the verge of being too old, but not quite” king cake that is sitting a bit out of place in my Memphis dorm. Why am I seemingly buried in work? The answer, I went home this weekend to visit my family and celebrate Mardi Gras. Do I regret it? Not at all… I mean I got to ride a mechanical bull (life goal # 98, 235). See below…

What I do regret is that speeding ticket I got on the way back. Not going to lie, the police were out in full force on I-55 between Jackson, MS and Memphis. The trooper that pulled me over asked me what my hurry was and it set me thinking about the fast paced society we live in. Everything is go-go-go all the time!
Anyway, between my Physics and Organic tests that loom on the horizon, I should get back to my go-go-go-ing so that I can get a good amount of sleep and perhaps actually make it to St. Jude tomorrow. I volunteer with Child Life in the ICU which is quite amazing… I will have to write more about that some day when I have a bit more time and energy!
Peace.
Sarah
